Here's a Way To Check if Your Antivirus Is Working Properly

Is your protection holding up? Here's how we'll check

Open notepad (or new text document)
Copy this code into the text file...(Copy and  paste the code into a new txt document)

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

then save it with the name fakevirus.exe

If this file gets deleted immediately ....that means your anti.virus is working and updated

If the file is still there, well you may have to update your anti virus, or if you are using a free Anti -Virus maybe think about buying Full Anti Virus software. I have found that free Anti Virus programs are not as comprehensive as  FULL VERSION Software, or have limitations.
Trial Version software is a little better, meaning you get the full functionality of the program, but only for a limited time.

Personally, I like an Anti Virus to have a Built-in firewall as well as a Spyware/Malware Cleaner. Probably asking alot, but I expect to be safe online. As well, I don't think the Windows Firewall is that great!
I have found a Pretty Good Anti-Virus/Firewall/Spyware Product lately, and it comes with a 2 month trial.
It's called BULLGUARD INTERNET SECURITY.

Click here to visit Bullguard and Download a Free 2 Month Trial

Here's another tip, don't open emails from people you don't know!

Safe Surfing !
